Nick has been creating and selling artwork from a very young age. His first real attempt to replicate with a drawing was Garfield the cat. Nick was in third grade and another child on the playground liked it so much he gave him twenty five cents for it, making that his first art sale. Ironically, Nick didn't sell another piece until he was in college, but he did spend the a lot of time in between drawing for pleasure instead of income.
His artwork themes revolve around comic book and video game characters, movie monsters, and a lot of anime. Even though his classmates enjoyed what Nick was producing, Nick had been told on several occasions by teachers that he couldn't use those styles to make it in the ‘art world’.
Eventually Nick began to focus on fine art, primarily in figure drawing and portraiture with a ton of focus on charcoal drawing! Nick find that if he put time into learning a specific art style it would be very hard for me to not appreciate it.
Nick enjoys working with content in bio-mechanical, Japanese, American traditional, and Neo-traditional when he tattoos. Anything with flowers and animals is also high on his preference list. The ‘Artist environment’ is what Nick loves most about the tattoo community. “I love being surrounded by and seeing new art all the time.”
